Tips for an efficient search of our databases. These tips apply to a search of the databases on our internet server.
1 Every search is based in the fact the more words (in the different boxes) you use in your search the more exact a result you will get.
2 It is possible to use so-called joker-sign when you in your serch terms. The joker sign used is the '%'. The joker sign replaces one, or more, unkown letters or figures.
E.g. If you do search for Ander%n you will get both Andersen, Anderson and Andersson as a result.
3 Dates are written in the formate YYYY-MM-DD (year-month-date) eg 1800-12-24 (the 24th of December 1800). You can do a search uing a certain date, or you can use an interval between two points of time.
4.There is no consideration taken as to whether you use UPPER or lower case letters when you do your search.
