Marriage records for Halland
(only available in Swedish)

Hallands Släktforskarförening has during several years worked with entering parish records of Halland in a database. The process started with the marriage records from their beginning and up to 1860, and all parishes are now included. We observe that the percentage of couples, where one of the partners is coming from another parish, is approximately 20%. Normally a couple marries in the parish where the parents of the bride lives, and this register is an excellent aid in searching for an individual who has moved to a parish.

Register of Ships

The database is based on printed catalogues of the Swedish Register of Ships kept at the Regional Archives in Lund. The complete series covers 1837 - 1939. New material is continuously added to the database.
